Kwara SWAN congratulates Barrister AU Mustapha on appointment as Chairman fund KWETA

The leadership of Kwara State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has congratulated sports philanthropist, Barrister Abdulhakeem Uthman Mustapha (SAN) on his appointment as member of Kwara State Education Trust Fund.


In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary Kwara SWAN, Ayodeji Ismail and Dare Kuti hailed Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for appointing the President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Appeal’s Board  as the chairman of the Fund that is a strong component of the Kwara State Education Transformation Agenda (KWETA).


The statement read that Barrister AU Mustapha has shown to be an asset not only in the sporting sector but also in the education sector.


The statement read, "Kwara State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) wants to commend the Governor for making such a great move. It is on record that Barrister AU Mustapha was instrumental to the completion of Kwara State Football House that houses the Football Association.


"Barrister AU Mustapha is also in charge of the re-grassing of Kwara State Stadium pitch which is a laudable initiative from the CAF official. It is our belief that the sports philanthropist will use his wealth of experience to transform the fortunes of education in Kwara State ".


Kwara SWAN charged Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to continue to engage critical sports stakeholders who have the political will to transform the state in every sector.


Kwara SWAN also congratulated the Emir of Lafiagi Alhaji Mohammed Kudu Kawu, Kemi Mary Adeosun, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji and Deborah Adekeye (Ph.D) on their various appointments into the board of  KWETA.
