Kwara SWAN congratulates 'El Lado' on his Turbaning as new Baba Adini Tijaniya of Delta State

 


The Chairman of Kwara State Chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Ayodeji Ismail has congratulated Olatunji Mohammed  on his turbaning as Baba Adini Tijaniya of Delta State.


Olatunji Mohammed also known as El Lado was turbanned Baba Adini Tijaniya of Delta State due to his religious  activities and contributions in the state.


A statement signed by the Secretary Kwara SWAN, Dare Kuti described El Lado “as an outstanding nobility who is highly respected for his wealth of knowledge and experience as well as his support to sports in Kwara state and Nigeria.”


"Kwara SWAN is aware of your enormous contributions not only to sports in the state but towards religious activities in the country. Your turbanning as Baba Adini Tijaniya of Delta State has shown you are a worthy ambassador of the sports community ".


He urges the new Baba Adini to uphold the trust and burden bestowed upon him by the Islamic community in Delta State.

Ayodeji also prays that Allah (SWT) guides him in discharging his duties as Baba Adini Tijaniya.

Emir of Ilorin to Turban Mohammed Baba Iliyas as Daudu Egbejila July 25 Preparations are in top gear for the grand turbaning ceremony of Alhaji Mualim Mohammed Baba Iliyas as the 3rd Daudu Egbejila Wara Osin in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State. The ceremony will be performed by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, on Friday, 25th July 2025, at the Emir’s Palace, Ilorin, starting at 9:00 AM.
