Gunniyan Community Heaps Praises on Oloriegbe Over Classroom Construction
The people and residents of Guniyan Community, Ogidi ward, Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State has heaped encomiums on the Senator representing Kwara Central, *Dr Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe* for facilitating through *Nigeria Port Authority*, a block of two classrooms and a staff office to the primary school established by the leadership of the community as part of their efforts to bring education closer to the children in the area.
The commendations were expressed on Friday, 24th March 2023, while declaring the classrooms for use to serve the interest and needs of the pupils and the teachers teaching in the school.
The community head, *Alh. Abdulkareem Oloye Baban Gunniyan* while speaking on behalf of the people of Gunniyan applauded Oloriegbe's gesture describing it as a timely intervention to strengthen the educational development of the children in the community.
In addition, the secretary of the Gunniyan Community Development Association, *Mallam Ahmed Babatunde Ilobu* expressed gratitude to the lawmaker for responding to their call for service, extolling him for delivering impactful service to the people of his constituency and making them proud of his performance in the Nigerian Senate.
"We appreciate your contribution towards the development of education of our children in the community. You did wonders for us because we did not expect such and you make us proud during your tenure as a performing Senator in Kwara Central.
"With your assistance, we established Gunniyan *Community LGEA Primary School* with the approval of the State government.
"At this juncture, we are praying to Almighty Allah to protect, guide and be with you throughout your lifetime. Insha Allah, the next administration will be more and more of a benefit for you, Sir."
Speaking at the handing over of the building structure which has been equipped with furniture items to the community, Sen. Oloriegbe, represented by his aide, Waheed Piri reiterated his commitment to providing platforms conducive to improved learning outcomes for the education of enthusiastic members of his constituency, imploring parents to enrol their children in the school.
"The basic education level is a crucial stage because it is the foundation upon which all other levels are built. It is our resolve to facilitate interventions that strengthen this level of education and enhance the prospects of our children and their ability to cope with the challenges of higher levels of education."
While urging the management of the school to make judicious use of the structures, Oloriegbe encouraged parents to give maximum priority to education which he averred is the best legacy they could bequeath to their children.
