Sebilu Najat: Who Steals The Show, Agbomonbiwon Or Madam Gbemidebe?

Sebilu Najat is a television and Radio Programme of Sebilu Najat Concept and its being anchored by Ilorin born renowned and erudite Islamic scholar, Dr Sheikh Ahmad Olarewaju Alfulani.

He also doubles as the founder of the Organization. 

The Programme has Continued to attract viewership across the country on account of the meticulousness with which issues are treated, the intelligence and dynamism in which Dr Ahmad Alfulani moderates in the programme.

The Programme, a quiz in orientation, is primarily designed to assist and encourage young and adult muslims to be acquainted with basic Islamic tenets and etiquettes expected of them; provides also platform for viewers to earn handsome reward if they correctly answer questions posed on the programme.

It airs on WAP TV during the Holy Month of Ramadan. The last and this years' editions are amplified and re-echoed by one hilarious caller from Oyo State, known as "Agbomonbiwon" who twisted and Maneuvered the Intelligence of the Presenter (Dr Alfulani) to eventually win gift items and cash on the famous, Educative and entertaining show.

Agbomonbiwon's humorous and dramatic method of answering questions, attracted the attention of Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, aka, MC Oluomo, a philanthropist and other well-meaning and popular supporters of the Programme.

MC Olumo was compelled to call in to the live Programme to ask what Agbomonbiwon wants.

Agbomonbiwon stole the show on that day and was rewarded with cash and other gifts.

But as it turned out, Agbomonbiwon's saga was the begining of the interesting turn of events on Sebilu Najat this year. 

The biggest and perhaps the most amazing surprise on the programme this year is the revelation of "Madam Gbemidebe" who sent a voice note to Dr Alfulani, threatening to commit suicide if he does not assist her. 

In the voice note, she alleged that the presenter has been deliberately ignoring her calls over the last ten years that she has been following and calling on the show.

She also made it clear in the voice note that  if Dr Alfulani failed to 'gbedebe' this time around, she is ready to kill herself and will report to Allah that she was frustrated by not getting through to the daily Sebilu Najat's  reward.

 Dr Ahmad Alfulani was not bothered by her threat rather he further use the opportunity to re-emphasize the guidelines and conditions that must be met by a caller on the programme, which  is by answering correctly a minimum of three questions before gifts and reward can be guaranteed.

Surprisingly, on Friday 5th April, 15th Ramadan, in a video posted to Sebilu Najat Concept verified Facebook page, Dr Ahmad Alfulani has finally taken Madam Gbemidebe to the next level of human Development with  assorted gifts, opening of a well equiped shop for Madam Gbemidebe without her answering questions.

Apart from the above major characters in Sebilu Najat drama in recent times, one caller, a trader on Iwo Express road traffic in Ibadan was also empowered with over 800k after getting all the three questions.

The caller said he wants to go back to School. 

Another 22 years old Jemilah from Abuja was also lucky to have won her three questions and was also bombarded with cash and mouthwatering gifts.

LESSONS:

Sebilu Najat is not a glorified entertainment programme but a source of empowerment for both old and young.

The transparent manner in which the Presenter, Dr Alfulani is dishing out gifts and cash to the callers has earned the show lots of credibility among live entertainment programmes on television.

If Dr Ahmad Olarewaju Alfulani hadn't been fair, even handed and transparent in managing the programme, the likes of Agbomonbiwon and Madam Gbemidebe will not be crying uncontrollably with joy.

This handling has opened the programme for more donors and sponsors on the programme. 

Dr Alfulani deserves national honour given the way he manages people on the show and his willingness to give out what was given to him.
