Golden Eaglets' Passing of MRI Test, Good Omen for Nigerian Football - Alloy Chukwuemeka
The hundred percent clearance of the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria in the MRI Test preceding the U-17 African Cup of Nations, AFCON in Algeria by has been described as a good omen towards the development of an age grade football in Nigeria.
Secretary of the Club's Owners Association of Nigeria, Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka stated this at the Nigeria (Football) Referees Association, NRA National Elective Delegates Conference in Ilorin.
Chief Chukwuemeka who is also the Director of Football, ABS Ilorin FC explained that passing the MRI Test by the Eaglets was a manifestation of the positive reforms of Ibrahim Gusau led Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, noting that the restructuring is not restricted to only age grade players but will extend to other players of the national teams as it is a continuous process.
ACC Network as Chief Chukwuemeka fondly called and also a retired referee, commended the NFF for it's numerous programmes which aimed at accelerating the growth of the nation's football, asking the body to sustain the tempo .
ACC however praised the leadership of the NRA for the orderly manner in which they conducted their elections which ushered in Alhaji Sani Zubair as the new President, noting, the choice of Ilorin as the venue for their Delegates Elective Congress was due to conducive environment provided by the State Government for Sports Development.
