NPFL UPDATE: Thank God, We Get To Play Topflight Next Season-- Dogo, Kwara United Coach

Kabir Dogo, coach of Kwara United which on Sunday scrapped through surviving relaxation against Nasarawa United says things could have been worse for his team.

"I thank God that we get to play in the elite league next season," he told journalists on Sunday.

Kwara United defeated Nasarawa United by a lone goal at the Akure Township Stadium on Sunday.

Indeed, Dogo proved his mettle in helping the Ilorin team to survive the drop.

He took over the team at the time when things weren't working out fine for the club and had only one job of keeping Kwara United from relegation.

Dogo thanked the State Government, Ondo State Government, Kwara state SWAN as well as stakeholders for their support.

He appreciated the Emir of Ilorin for his prayers during the trying times.

"In all I thank God Kwara United will play at next year's NPFL," he stated.
