Offa Volleyball Club sets For 2023 Premier League, Vows to sustain impressive run
The Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Magaji has urged Offa VC Coach, Mr Suleiman Ajeigbe to bring his wealth of experience into the state owned teams
Mallam Bola Magaji stated this on Monday while receiving in audience of Offa Volleyball Club in his office ahead of the 2023 Nigeria Volleyball Premier League in Abuja next month
Mallam Magaji admitted that volleyball has a strong root in Offa and it has been noticed with the series of grassroot programmes.
He advised the professional players to be disciplined and be a pathway for other young players to play professional volleyball outside the shores of Africa.
Earlier, the coach of Offa VC, Mr Suleiman Ajeigbe said Offa VC is ready to make the state proud by lifting a double at the 2023 Nigeria Volleyball Premier League.
He commended the Executive Chairman of the Commission for playing a fatherly role in the team.
The National U17 Coach said, "Offa VC have come to seek for your fatherly advice ahead of the league and introduce some of our players playing professional volleyball outside the country.
"We have successfully produced players who have represented the country at the U17 and U21 before signing for clubs in Dubai. Kwara State has volleyball potential and by the Grace of God, more players will be noticed in no time.
Coach of Offa VC, Suleiman Ajeigbe; captain of the men and women team, Ismail Suleiman and Rofiat Mustapha as well as Al wasl Volleyball Club players, Dhikirullahi Oyedepo and Abdulquadri Jayeiola (Professional players) were part of the contingents who visited the office of the Sports Commission.
