Ex Kwara United Players Thank Governor AbdulRazaq Over Payment Of Debt

 



Ex players of Kwara United and Officials have commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for approving the release of five million naira through the sports commission to clear parts of the debt owed them by the past management of the club.


Captain and spokesperson of ex Kwara United players, Akeem Onigbari who spoke to Journalists in Ilorin, hailed the magnanimity of Governor AbdulRazaq, stating that he demonstrated the spirit of a true Leader.


They commended him for taking responsibility even though the debt were incured by past governors.


Onigbari explained that over two hundred players and officials both present and ex were benefited from the first tranche of the money and it was a relief to some of them who have retired from active football.


"It was a cheering news and good development to our members, for the sports loving Governor to have approved five million to us, its shows Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is a listening Governor with full of empathy. we will forever remain grateful to him and sports Commission".



He appealed to the Governor not to relent in defraying the debt as its being done in other sectors, noting that 90% of the players who were of 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 seasons cannot play again and finding it difficult to take care of themselves and family.


The body thanked the sports Commission under the leadership of Mallam Bola Magaji and facilitating the approval and promised unalloyed support to the present administration.
