Gov.AbdulRazaq donates cash to Offa Volleyball Club

 



The Kwara state Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq has donated  the sum of N1.5m to Offa Volleyball Club as the team depart for Abuja tomorrow for the Nigeria Volleyball Premier league which holds July 12 to 23 at the Mashood Abiola stadium. 


The Executive Chairman of the Kwara state Sports Commission, Mallam Bola Mogaji made the announcement today when  the Coach  Suleiman O B Ajeigbe led the team to the office of the Executive Chairman to seek his  support and blessings ahead the competition.


Mogaji while announcing the donation explained that the Governor appreciated Offa Volleyball Club because it is a being run privately.


The Executive Chairman charged the team to put in the best and retain the title.


He advised them to consider playing for Kwara state during the Festival since they are Kwarans instead of playing for other states.

Earlier, Coach Ajeigbe, appreciated the state  government for the support  the club received  in 2019 which said was the first support they got from the government.


He thanked  the Executive Chairman for giving the team opportunity to train in the Indoor despite the short notice.


He promised that they will do their best to retain the title.
