… Sports Commission Acted Professionally, Says Sports Writers Body
Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Kwara State Chapter says that the appointment of Wale Obalola, Stadium Manager, Kwara State Sports Stadium, and seasoned sports administration as Acting Secretary of Kwara United Football Club can only be too fitting and professionally done by the Kwara State Sports Commission (KSSC).
Obalola, also Vice President, Nigerian Creket Federation (NCF) was appointed by the State Sports Commission after the dissolution of the Kwara United FC board by the governor a few days ago.
According to a release form the office of the Commission, Obalola will take charge of running of the Club till a substantive board is put in by the state government.
The Commission urged all relevant stakeholders in the state to give the Acting Secretary the needed support in the task ahead.
There had been worries by sports stakeholders over the timing of the sack of the Kumbi Titiloye led club's board.
But with the appointment of Obalola, says the Sports Writers body, the sports commission's executive chairman, Bolakale Magaji, has demonstrated a rare foresight only peculiar toj seasoned men with executive capacity.
Kwara SWAN promised to support the astute NPFL Match Commissioner in his new office.
