We Will Maintain Steady, Consistent Support For K'United-- Gov Abdulrazaq

 



Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has reinstated full commitment and support for the state's darling club, Kwara United FC, stating this support underscores his entire commitment not just to see sports grow, but also grow soccer as business.


Kwara United is competing in the country's elite league billed to commence in August as tentatively fixed.


Several clubs in the same elite cadre in the country have over the last few days embarked on intensive recruitment of club managers after the flamboyant and relatively money spinning league finales last season. 


Fittingly, the state governor returned Kumbi Titiloye, giving him both administrative and financial autonomy ahead of the season.


Making this known, the governor, through his Chief Press Secretary, Mallam Rafiu Ajakaye on Thursday at the 37th Media Parliament of the Kwara Council of NUJ, also itemized steps his administration has been taking to strengthen soccer in the state.


Kwara United escaped relegation last season as a result of the massive and unalloyed support of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq led administration, after it's unimpressive run in the 2022/23 abridge League, has however started training and recruitment of new players in preparation for the new season.


Ajakaye explained that the giant strides of the present administration towards sports development across the state is unprecedented, and will not relent in consolidating on the feat


According to him, the construction of the twin squash court at the state stadium is first of it's kind in Africa and new table tennis arena, when completed will further attract national and international championships.


He implored football lovers and fans to continue supporting the team in it's bid to have a good outings in the fast approaching new NPFL season in the Country.
