2023 NYG :Road Cycling Event Produces First Medal for Kwara Athletes

 

The duo of Gbenga Ayomide and Atanda Hikmat have won Silver for Kwara state in male 60km and 40km of the cycling road event at the ongoing 7th National Youth Games in Asaba .



The Medals came barely twenty four hours after the official opening ceremony of the championship.


Kwara leader of the delegation who doubles as the executive chairman of the Kwara sports commission, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Magaji had earlier promised to surpass records of the previous editions and the athletes are working towards achieving the target.

Emir of Ilorin to Turban Mohammed Baba Iliyas as Daudu Egbejila July 25 Preparations are in top gear for the grand turbaning ceremony of Alhaji Mualim Mohammed Baba Iliyas as the 3rd Daudu Egbejila Wara Osin in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State. The ceremony will be performed by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, on Friday, 25th July 2025, at the Emir’s Palace, Ilorin, starting at 9:00 AM.
