Best NYG Athletes To Represent Nigeria At Commonwealth Games

 



President, Aquatic Federation of Nigeria, Mrs Chinoye Aliyu, has disclosed that the best athletes at the 7th Youth Games holding in Asaba would represent the country at the Commonwealth Youth Games, in Trinidad and Tobago.


Mrs Chinoye, a member of the MOC revealed that Delta is prepared to host a hitch free youth games with effective and efficient preparations.


She also noted that this year's games offered opportunity to rewrite the history of Nigeria sports in the Commonwealth, former British colony countries, which will hold in the Caribbean country between 4th to 11th August 2024.


 "We are here for every sports.


"We are here to get the best that would represent Nigeria in the Commonwealth Youth Games. 


"For us in the swimming, we will ensure that we are in contact with the best swimmers, no matter which state they are from, and keep in touch to with them to ensure good outing in Trinidad and Tobago," Mrs Aliyu said.


She urged all the participating Athletes to be good ambassadors of their states and eschew any act capable of Jeopardizing their future.
