KWSG Commissions Olufadi Total Energy/NNPC Maternity & Child Referral Centre

 

••• Host Community Commends Project Facilitator, Alhaji Tunji Nagode 

The Kwara State Government says it will support  the newly Constructed Olufadi Health Centre through the State's Primary Health Care Development Agency as one its Basic Health Care  Provision Fund Supported Facilities in the State.

The State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq made the promise on Thursday in Ilorin at the official Commissioning of the total energy/NNPC financed Olufadi Maternity and Child Referral Centre.

The Governor who was represented by the Executive Secretary, Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr Nusirat Elelu said  the strong political will of the current administration is evidenced by the commitment to payment of counter-fund for programs like basic Health Care Provision Fund, Immunization plus and malarial progress to accelerate their coverage and transform the services.

Dr Elelu explained that  Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq prioritized Health Infrastructure, leading to the renovation, construction and upgrade of health facilities to provide good avenue for the delivery of health interventions for the people.

According to Dr Elelu" Health facilities are essential for providing medical service to individuals. The number and quality of Health facilities in a Country and region are often used  as measures of area's prosperity and quality of life"

Earlier, the TIC chairman of Ilorin South Local Government, Hon Zubair Sulu Gambari commended the state government for sustaining an enabling environment for every sectors to strive, stating that the council will continue to compliment  his giant strides in all facets of human endeavour.

Also speaking, a Community Leader and Chairman of Balogun Fulani Community Development Association, Mallam Aliyu Yahaya acknowledged the effort of the project facilitator, Alhaji Tunji Nagode, noting that the edifice will not benefit the community alone but Kwara at large.

While applauding Total Energy/ NNPC for financing the project, Mallam Yahya appealed to the people of the community to strengthen the security architecture around the edifice and stressed the need to provide parameter fence and gate, interlock, culvert and Ambulance bus for efficient service delivery .

Olufadi Maternity and child referral centre spread on the land three thousand square meters, possess two wards, neonatal ward, delivery room and theatre for surgical operation with modern health equipment.

The occasion was witnessed by the  traditional rulers of the community including Balogun Fulani, Alanamu, Gambari who represented the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari. 

Others are government officials from the state health sector, and member of the state assembly representing Ilorin South constituency, Hon Mariam Aladi  among others
