Volleyball: First Cornelius Inter Club Tourney Starts Dec. 14

 


First edition of Cornelius Olowola Memorial Inter-Club Volleyball championship is all set to kick off on Thursday, says Kwara State Volleyball Association, KVA.


According to Coach Wale Gbadamosi in a statement on Tuesday, the Championship will feature male and female categories.


The competition begins at 9am, from  14th through 16th December, 2023 at the Indoor Sports Hall of the State's Sports Commission.


Top volleyball clubs like Unilorin Spikers, Olalomi Royal Spikers, Ajase-Ipo Volleyball Club, Offa Volleyball Club, NYSC female and Volleyball Club would be part of the tournament.


Others clubs expected are Ikotun-Ile Volleyball Club, Iloffa Volleyball Club and Harmony Volleyball Club.


The Championship which is sponsored by one of the association's veterans who based in UK, Mr Dele Olowola is part of the association's drive to positively engage the clubs within the state ahead of national and international Competitions.

Emir of Ilorin to Turban Mohammed Baba Iliyas as Daudu Egbejila July 25 Preparations are in top gear for the grand turbaning ceremony of Alhaji Mualim Mohammed Baba Iliyas as the 3rd Daudu Egbejila Wara Osin in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State. The ceremony will be performed by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, on Friday, 25th July 2025, at the Emir’s Palace, Ilorin, starting at 9:00 AM.
