Emirate Is Blessed To Have Engr Ridwan Cook Amode As Youngest Philanthropist

It was a gathering of friends, colleagues, associates, political bigwigs and well wishers at the Birthday Prayer and Ramadan Iftar of one of the finest engineers in Ilorin, a son of the soil and philanthropist per excellence, Engr Ridwan Cook Amode on Monday 1st April, 2024 at his Adewole's Residence in Ilorin the state capital.

I was invited by a friend and diehard follower, comrade Kareem Ayuba who happened to be one of the event planners and organizers, fortunately for me, I sat closely to my coach, coach Lekan Lawal of Nmanko Beach Soccer Club who calm my nerves as I was initially fidgeting to sit with 'who is who' in the state's political circle while the compere of the event, Bolaji Gobir SBG, a colleague in the field of media spiced up the occasion with professional touches which eventually made me feel at home.

The occasion which was chaired by a chieftain of PDP in Ilorin East, Alhaji Olohundare Garuba, featured special prayers for the celebrant from erudite Islamic clerics, good will messages and Iftar for all invited guests, in his good will message tagged "living a good life", a public affairs commentator, Comrade Abdulawaheed Onikaun identified party loyalty, humility and philanthropy as the driving force propelling Engr Amode's gesture towards the development of his immediate community.

Comrade Onikaun posited that the celebrant has distinguished himself by impacting positively on the lives of vulnerables and people from the grassroots, the gesture which had earned him accolades and respect within his community and it's environs, while calling on well-meaning Ilorites to emulate Engr Ridwan's positive contributions to the advancement of the state, he tasked him to sustain the momentum to consolidate on the already established achievements.

An amazing part of the event was the presence of the political gladiators from both PDP and APC in the state as those actors defied their political interests to honour a man of the moment. A lesson there in is that assisting less privileged in your immediate community should not hinged on being in the ruling party, humanity first before politics. Another unique attraction from the occasion was the appearance of the leadership of IEYDA, Alhaji Babatunde Abdullah and Alhaji Uthman Jagunmo, as anywhere Jagunmo appeared is an endorsement of Maimaritaba, Alhaji Dr Ibrahim Sulu Gambari. Ilorin is blessed to have the celebrant as a youngest philanthropist with what he has achieved in recent time .

Others who spoke at the occasion including the former general Manager of Kwara United , Alhaji Haruna MaigidaNsama Ilerika and a chieftain of APC, Engr Adebayo Garba B-Tech who also attested to the fact that Engr Ridwan Amode's gesture is unprecedented.

There is no doubt that Engr Amode is an ambassador of peace who deserves our unwavering support in all ramifications, hence the need to rally round him in his endeavors. I beseech Allah to grant him many blissful years ahead to further serve humanity. Congratulations & Happy Birthday Mr finest!
