ABS FC CEO Urge State Governments To Hands off Football

 



Former Secretary of the Club owners Association and Director of football, ABS fc, Ilorin, Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka has advocated for complete withdrawal of government at all levels from sponsorship of football clubs in the country, stating that the development will provide for healthy competition and public private participation. 



Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka was speaking with Journalists on Wednesday in Ilorin while featuring on the 4th edition of Kwara SWAN Sports Hard Talk.



ACC has he fondly called by his admirers explained that continuous sponsorship of teams by government in the nation's leagues has hindered potential sponsors and partners in the administration of football in the country.


"The only solution to the challenges confronting effective and efficient football administration in the country is for government to hands off its sponsorship to public private sector, while they should only create an enabling environment through provision of structures and facilities to enhance participation".



While calling on football administrators and club owners  to always engage professionals in the areas of Coaches and players recruitment , noted the country's apex leagues can only improve if template of the Europe is tenaciously followed .
