IEDPU celebrates Tunji Nagode on birthday

 




llorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), the umbrella sociocultural organisation of the good people of Ilorin Emirate in Kwara State, has felicitated with the Executive Director, Finance, Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) PLC, Dr Abdulkadir Tunji Nagode, on the occasion of the anniversary of his birthday.


The Union, in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Nurudeen Ibrahim, on behalf of the National President, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, described Dr Nagode as a shining patriot and a distinguished professional who has done and is still doing very well for himself, Ilorin Emirate and the nation at large.


The statement quoted Alhaji Abdulmalik as thanking Dr Nagode for his numerous selfless contributions to the peace and progress of Ilorin Emirate over the years and for always presenting himself as a model to his contemporaries and younger ones, saying that the community needs more of such individuals to ensure its all-round transformatiion.


The Union specifically recalled several philanthropic gestures of Dr Nagode to many community initiatives and most especially to the reconstruction of the Olufadi Comprehensive Health Centre, Ilorin, noting that the distinguished accountant has been rekindling and reminding the people of Ilorin Emirate the exemplary life lived by his late father, Alhaji Salihu Alabi Nagode.


While wishing Dr Nagode a very memorable birthday anniversary, Alhaji Abdulmalik also wished the renowned financial technocrat many more years of qualitative services to Allah and humanity.

Emir of Ilorin to Turban Mohammed Baba Iliyas as Daudu Egbejila July 25 Preparations are in top gear for the grand turbaning ceremony of Alhaji Mualim Mohammed Baba Iliyas as the 3rd Daudu Egbejila Wara Osin in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State. The ceremony will be performed by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, on Friday, 25th July 2025, at the Emir’s Palace, Ilorin, starting at 9:00 AM.
