The Management of Kwara United FC have expressed sadness over the death of the Chairman, House Committee on Sports, Hon Ekene Abubakar Adams, who died in the early hours of Tuesday.

They also sympathized with the Leadership of the National Assembly and Sports fraternity.

Hon Ekene Abubakar Adams, representing Chikun/Kajuru federal constituency of Kaduna state was confirmed dead Tuesday morning by the wife after a brief illness.

Kwara United in a statement by the general manager, Mallam Bashir Badawiy on behalf of the Chairman, Kumbi Titiloye, expressed grief and pain over the demise of the committed and industrious House of representatives member.

"The death of Hon Ekene Abubakar Adams was a huge loss to the sports fraternity in the country, he will be remembered for the reform and innovation brought to the sports sector within a short stint in the House of representatives.

"We will also remember his doggedness and commitment to changing narratives  in the sports sector".

From all of us at Kwara United, we pray God to grant the departed soul eternal rest and give the family, colleagues and other associates the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss "  the statement added.
