Effective Planning, Proper Athlete Record Keeping, Crucial For Seamless Sports Program.. Tunde Kazeem

Coach Tunde Kazeem, former Chairman of the Directors of Sports Forum in Nigeria, has emphasized the importance of effective planning and proper athlete record-keeping in ensuring the smooth execution of events like the National Sports Festival and National Youth Games (NYG).

Speaking at Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, he praised the Delta State Government for upholding high standards in the organization of the NYG over the past three years, noting improvements in areas like safety, fairness, and discipline.

"I want to say that planning for the next Olympics has started, our administrators and Government at all levels should emulate this to have a seamless outing in sports festival and National Youth Games"

He urged corporate organizations and individuals to support sports development through sponsorship and branding, as the government alone cannot handle the financial burden.

He also commended the achievements of Mariam Eniola, who won bronze in badminton at the Paris Paralympics, acknowledging the support of the Badminton Federation President, Francis Obih, and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

Coach Kazeem highlighted Governor AbdulRazaq’s significant investment in sports infrastructure, such as the completion of the squash and table tennis courts and the ongoing upgrades to the indoor sports hall.

He also praised Mallam Bola Magaji, the Executive Chairman of the Kwara Sports Commission, for his dedication, which has led to national and international successes for Kwara State in various competitions.
