Dr. AbdulRaheem Malik, CEO of Rotamedics Pharmacy and Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Hospital Management Board, emphasized the strong connection between golf and overall fitness during the 1st ICMA PRO-AM Open Golf Tournament at Ilorin Golf Club. 


He described golf and fitness as inseparable, underscoring the sport's numerous health benefits, including improved heart health, reduced cholesterol, and enhanced stamina.


Reflecting on his personal golf journey, Dr. Malik noted that the game extends beyond physical activity, revealing the personalities of players throughout the 3-4 hour rounds. 


"Golf is life," he remarked, highlighting how a round on the course fosters intimate exchanges of emotions and character.


Dr. Malik also shared his satisfaction with his progress, noting a significant improvement from a handicap of 26 in the previous Kwara Open to 20 in this tournament. 


He commended the organizers and sponsors of the ICMA PRO-AM Open for their efforts, emphasizing the camaraderie and competition among golfers from across Nigeria that made the event memorable.
