 Kwara United Congratulates Emir of Ilorin on 29th Coronation Anniversary



Kwara United Football Club has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, on the occasion of his 29th coronation anniversary.


 In a message conveyed by the Club Chairman, Kumbi Titiloye, through the General Manager, Bashir Badawiy, Kwara United praised the Emir for his remarkable influence on the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State, describing his reign as a model of exemplary leadership for other traditional rulers.


The club highlighted the Emir’s contributions to peace and unity within the emirate, attributing Ilorin’s transformation into a thriving, cosmopolitan hub over the past 29 years to his visionary leadership. They noted that the Emir’s focus on harmony and development has fostered an inclusive growth that benefits all parts of the emirate.


"Our sports-loving Royal Father is our number one supporter, and his prayers have been propelling us to greatness," said Titiloye. 


"We recognize his unwavering support for Kwara United in all aspects, and we wish him many more fruitful years on the throne of his forefathers."


The statement concluded with a prayer for Allah to grant the Emir long life and good health, acknowledging his resilience and tireless efforts in advancing the socioeconomic progress of Ilorin, which is evident in the growth of businesses and infrastructure throughout the emirate.

Emir of Ilorin to Turban Mohammed Baba Iliyas as Daudu Egbejila July 25 Preparations are in top gear for the grand turbaning ceremony of Alhaji Mualim Mohammed Baba Iliyas as the 3rd Daudu Egbejila Wara Osin in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State. The ceremony will be performed by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, on Friday, 25th July 2025, at the Emir’s Palace, Ilorin, starting at 9:00 AM.
