The newly turbaned Dan Amanan Gari of Ilorin Emirate, Alhaji Dr. Abdulkadir Tunji Nagode, has reaffirmed his dedication to the promotion of Quranic knowledge by donating ₦500,000 to reward winners of the Edun Development Association’s (EDA) annual Quran competition during the upcoming 1446 Ramadan.


The donation was conveyed to the leadership of the Association by Engr. Bolakale Aiyegun, a close associate of Dr. Nagode, on Sunday.


Engr. Aiyegun highlighted that despite the significant expenses incurred during his recent turbaning ceremony, Dr. Nagode remains committed to supporting Islamic education and the advancement of Quranic recitation within Ilorin Emirate and beyond.


Reacting to the gesture, Mallam Ahmad Ajia Idris, Chairman of the EDA Quran Competition Committee, expressed profound gratitude to Dan Amanan Gari for his unwavering support for Islamic propagation. 


He assured that the donation would be distributed to the winners in accordance with the wishes of the sponsor.


Mallam Idris also encouraged aspiring participants to prepare diligently for the competition, emphasizing that such initiatives play a vital role in nurturing young Quran reciters and preserving Islamic heritage within the community.
