 Engr. Olaide Rewards Sardauna U-16 Cup Awardees with ₦150,000



The Managing Director of Cyteck Engineering Limited, Engr. Abdullateef Ahmed Olaide , has once again demonstrated his commitment to grassroots football development by rewarding the standout performers of the first Sardauna U-16 Football Tournament with cash prizes.


The Most Valuable Player, Best Goalkeeper, and Highest Goal Scorer of the competition each received ₦50,000, bringing the total reward to ₦150,000.


The Sardauna U-16 Football Competition was organized by Ultimate Sports Consult, under the leadership of Alhaji AbdulRazaq Owolabi Wopa, featuring teams from the 16 Local Government Areas of Kwara State. The tournament was held to commemorate the 65th birthday anniversary of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.


Speaking at the grand finale, Engr. Olaide emphasized that the gesture was part of Cyteck Engineering’s corporate social responsibility and a way of giving back to the grassroots.


"This ₦150,000 reward is to support the initiative of Ultimate Sports Consult and to celebrate Governor AbdulRazaq at 65. As an engineering expert, I recognize and appreciate what the Governor has done for local contractors, and supporting a competition in his honor is a way of giving back to society," he stated.


He further pledged to sustain and enhance initiatives that promote grassroots football, reaffirming his unwavering dedication to football development in the state.


In the thrilling final match, Asa Local Government emerged as champions, defeating Offa Local Government 5-3 on penalties after the game ended 1-1 in regulation time.
