Sheikh Isalekoto Urges Newly Turbaned Alangua Oke-Ogun to Embrace Open-Door Policy

Ilorin-based Islamic scholar and founder of Al-Hikmat Baleegah, Sheikh Lukman Muktar Isalekoto, has called on the newly turbaned Alangua of Oke-Ogun, Alhaji Abdulkadir Mahmud, to adopt an open-door policy and involve his subjects in decision-making to foster a healthy and united community.

Alhaji Abdulkadir Mahmud was officially turbaned by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, as the new Alangua of Oke-Ogun in the Ilorin Emirate.

Speaking at an evening lecture organized to honor the new traditional leader, Sheikh Isalekoto emphasized the importance of truthfulness, urging him to stand by the truth in all matters, as honesty commands respect and trust among the people.

> "Ignore pomposity and always seek the opinions of your subjects when making decisions about the administration of your domain," he advised.

The cleric further stressed the need for the Alangua to constantly glorify Allah, acknowledging that his ascension to the title was divinely ordained and should be met with continuous gratitude.

The event was attended by sons and daughters of the Oke-Ogun community, who came together to celebrate and honor their newly appointed traditional leader.
