Vincent Okumagba Pushes for Unity Among Super Eagles Supporters
The President of the Unified Super Eagles Supporters Club, Prince Vincent Okumagba, has announced plans to set up a reconciliation committee aimed at uniting various factions of the supporters club to work collectively for the progress of Nigeria’s national teams.
Okumagba made this known in Ilorin on Wednesday during a reception organized by the Kwara State Chapter of the Super Eagles Supporters Club, led by Architect Olubunmi Dickalo, to celebrate his recent election victory.
Speaking at the event, Okumagba emphasized that the Federal Government of Nigeria is only interested in a single, unified supporters club that will focus on supporting the Super Eagles' qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
To achieve this, he revealed that a disciplinary committee would also be formed to work alongside the reconciliation committee, ensuring that all supporters work as a team to restore Nigeria’s footballing prestige on the global stage.
"It was not a good outing for the Supporters Club at the last AFCON, and this affected our morale. Moving forward, we will ensure all factions come together and function as a formidable force," Okumagba remarked.
The president commended the Kwara Chapter, under Olubunmi Dickalo, for hosting him and reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that all states across the country rally behind the Super Eagles and other national teams.
"Our goal is to unite every state chapter to support football and other sports in Nigeria. Together, we can achieve great things," he added.
The event was attended by top supporters club officials from various states, reaffirming their commitment to Okumagba’s vision of a unified supporters' body for Nigerian football.
