Federation Cup Semi-Final: Dr. Ayinla Ahmed Jimoh, Colleagues to Storm Lagos in Support of Kwara United



As Kwara United prepares for their crucial semi-final clash in the 2024 President Federation Cup on Wednesday in Lagos, former Provost of the Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, Dr. Ayinla Ahmed Jimoh, and a group of his colleagues have pledged to be present at the stadium to cheer the team to victory.


Dr. Ayinla, a passionate supporter of Kwara United, described the semi-final as more than just a football match, calling it a collective project for all stakeholders in Kwara State. He emphasized the historic significance of the club reaching the last four of the prestigious competition.


> “This is not just about Kwara United; it’s about all of us. The Federation Cup semi-final is a big moment for the state, and we must rally behind the team,” Dr. Ayinla said. “We are playing in the semi-final for only the fourth time in history. This achievement demands the full support of every stakeholder.”


The academic leader expressed confidence in the team’s readiness and spirit, adding that he and his colleagues will be in Lagos to lend their voices and presence to boost the players’ morale.


Kwara United is already in Lagos, fine-tuning preparations ahead of what many have described as one of the biggest games in the club's history. Players have assured fans of their commitment to give their all on the pitch.


With growing support from influential figures and passionate fans, expectations are high as Kwara United eyes a spot in the Federation Cup final — and potentially, a major national trophy.
