The Vice Chairman, North Central of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), Alhaji Usman Danjuma Tsaragi, has extended warm greetings and congratulations to the Muslim faithful on the commencement of the Islamic New Year 1447 AH.


In his Hijrah message, Alhaji Danjuma Tsaragi described the migration (Hijrah) of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) from Makkah to Madinah as a pivotal moment that marked a great transformation for the Muslim Ummah across the globe.


"This sacred period presents us with the opportunity for sincere reflection and change — from negative behaviors to more rewarding lifestyles in line with the teachings of Islam," he said.


Alhaji Danjuma Tsaragi also called on the Muslim community, particularly in Kwara State, to offer special prayers for the nation to overcome its socio-economic and security challenges.


"Alhamdulillah for witnessing another Hijrah year. Hijrah is not just a date on the calendar — it is a call to transform our lives positively and adhere strictly to the commandments of Allah," he added.


He urged all Muslims to embrace the values of peace, unity, and righteousness as exemplified by the Prophet (SAW) during the Hijrah.
