 Kwara NAPHER-SD, Sports Commission to stage one-day program June 11



Kwara State Sports Commission, in conjunction with the state chapter of the Nigeria Association of Physical Health Education, Recreation, Sports and Dance (NAPHER-SD) will stage a one-day action packed activities in Ilorin, on Wednesday June 11, 2025.


In a release signed by the Vice Chairman of NAPHER-SD, Wale Obalola, on behalf of the Chairman, Professor A. A. Sanusi, the activities have been scheduled for the George Agbazika Innih Stadium Complex, Ilorin. 


The activities commences from 7.00am prompt.


Among the activities lined up to mark the one-day programme are road walk, health lectures, indoor games as.well as awards.and get-together. 


Also lined.up for the day is Miss NAPHER-SD beauty competition, which attracts cash prizes, as well as consolatory prizes.


NAPHER-SD promotes physical education and health in Nigeria by encouraging physical activity and fitness in schools and communities, developing health and wellness programs to improve the overall health of Nigerians.


It's also involved in organizing workshops, seminars, and conferences on sports and health education, and supporting research in physical education, sports science, and health education to improve practices and policies.

Emir of Ilorin to Turban Mohammed Baba Iliyas as Daudu Egbejila July 25 Preparations are in top gear for the grand turbaning ceremony of Alhaji Mualim Mohammed Baba Iliyas as the 3rd Daudu Egbejila Wara Osin in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State. The ceremony will be performed by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, on Friday, 25th July 2025, at the Emir’s Palace, Ilorin, starting at 9:00 AM.
