Kwara United Football Club has officially confirmed the receipt of the ₦10 million reward promised by Ambassador Abdulfatah Yahaya Seriki during the final of the President Federation Cup held last Saturday in Lagos.
In a statement released on Monday, the Club Chairman, Mr. Kumbi Titiloye, through the General Manager, Mallam Bashir Badawiy, expressed deep appreciation to Ambassador Seriki for his unwavering dedication and support, which played a significant role in the club’s historic triumph.
The club also acknowledged Ambassador Seriki’s earlier ₦5 million donation made during their NPFL fixture against Kano Pillars, noting that his consistent support underscores his strong political will and genuine commitment to complementing the Kwara State Government’s efforts in developing football across the state.
As part of the team’s post-victory plans, Kwara United announced that the players and officials will embark on a 10-day break starting Monday, July 1, and are expected to resume for full preparations ahead of the NPFL 2025/26 season and their CAF Confederation Cup campaign on Thursday, July 10.
The club reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring adequate preparation for the upcoming season, aligning with the mandate of the Kwara State Government to make a strong impression both domestically and continentally.
