2026 World Cup Dream Still Alive, Says Supporters Club Vice Chairman

The Vice Chairman of the Super Eagles Supporters Club, Mr. Abraham Peters, has called on Nigerians — especially football enthusiasts — to genuinely rally behind the Super Eagles in their quest to secure a ticket for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Nigeria on Saturday defeated the Amavubi of Rwanda by a lone goal, courtesy of Tolu Arokodare’s strike in the 51st minute.

Speaking to journalists shortly after the match, Mr.  Abraham acknowledged that the game might not have been the most beautiful to watch, but emphasized that securing the maximum three points was the most important outcome at this critical stage of the qualifiers.

“As we look ahead to the next match against South Africa in Bloemfontein on Tuesday, this is the time to rally behind the Super Eagles with unwavering support,” he said.

A seasoned football administrator and supporter, Mr. Abraham Peters stressed that now is the time to believe in the team and trust their skills, both on and off the pitch.

“We can make a difference. Let’s keep hope alive and show the world that we can make it to the next World Cup,” he concluded.
