Kwara Coach Lauds NTTF, Urges Other Sports to Tackle Age Fraud

Technical Representative of the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (North Central) and Kwara State coach, Kehinde Aiyelabegan, has expressed satisfaction with the organisation of table tennis events at the ongoing 9th National Youth Games in Asaba.

Coach Aiyelabegan praised the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) for ensuring that most participating states presented athletes within the approved age limit of 15 years.

Speaking with journalists in Asaba on the sidelines of the table tennis events, he noted that the competition has lived up to expectations.

He described this year’s table tennis tournament as “seamless and effective,” urging stakeholders to sustain the momentum as a shining example for other sports federations.

“The Nigeria Table Tennis Federation has done well by putting strong measures in place to curtail age cheating, and only a few states were caught and disqualified,” Aiyelabegan said.

He added that if similar measures are adopted by other federations, the National Youth Games will consistently produce genuine champions and further strengthen grassroots sports development in Nigeria.
