Kwara United Felicitates Emir of Ilorin on 30th Coronation Anniversary



Kwara United Football Club has joined other well-wishers in celebrating the Emir of Ilorin, Maimartaba Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, on the occasion of his 30th Coronation Anniversary.


Today marks three decades since the revered monarch’s enthronement on November 11, 1995, as the 11th Emir of Ilorin.


In a statement issued by the Club Chairman, Mr. Kumbi Titiloye, he described the Emir’s reign as remarkable in all ramifications, noting that it was during his tenure that Kwara United won its major silverware — the President Federation Cup. Titiloye added that this milestone remains a proud achievement for both the Emir and the club.


Kumbi Titiloye rejoiced with the Emir on three decades of impactful and visionary leadership that have transformed the state capital and its people in many positive ways.


The Club further wished the Emir many more blissful years on the throne and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant him good health and long life in continued service to humanity.

Emir of Ilorin to Turban Mohammed Baba Iliyas as Daudu Egbejila July 25 Preparations are in top gear for the grand turbaning ceremony of Alhaji Mualim Mohammed Baba Iliyas as the 3rd Daudu Egbejila Wara Osin in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State. The ceremony will be performed by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, on Friday, 25th July 2025, at the Emir’s Palace, Ilorin, starting at 9:00 AM.
