ANAN Kwara Re-elects Hajia Ramat Remi Sulyman FCNA as Chairperson



The Kwara State Chapter of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) has re-elected Hajia Ramat Remi Sulyman, FCNA, as its Chairperson for another two-year term.


The election, which took place on Friday at the State Banquet Hall during the Association’s Annual General Meeting, was supervised by the ANAN National President, Hajia Zuwerat Talatu Khisimi, represented by the Vice President, Mallam Hussain Ibrahim Gidado.


In her acceptance speech, Hajia Ramat Remi Sulyman described the achievements recorded during her first tenure as the collective effort of both the executive and the general membership. 


She urged members to sustain their unity and unwavering support toward strengthening the association in the state.


Hajia Ramat that the new tenure will place emphasis on organising symposiums and quiz competitions in secondary schools as part of a strategic initiative to promote awareness in accounting and encourage younger generations to develop interest in the profession.


Speaking at the event, the Kwara State Commissioner for Finance, Hajia Hawa Nuhu, commended the outgoing executive for their dedication and selfless service. 


She also encouraged members to remain committed to fulfilling their obligations, including the timely payment of dues, to enhance the smooth administration of the association. 


Hajia Nuhu reiterated the commitment of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration to financial prudence and transparent public financial management.


The Chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Salman Ibrahim, FCNA, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election, describing the transition process as transparent and a model worthy of emulation by other professional bodies.
