  Two late goals from Omaka Anthony and Samad Kadri ensured Kwara United Football Club silenced stubborn El-kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri in the Matchday 10 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) decided at the Akure Township Stadium today, Sunday March 26, 2023. Omaka put Kwara United ahead in the 79th minute from a rebound, while Kadri doubled the scores in the 89th minute, with an assist from Omaka, to help seal the team's third victory in the ongoing season so far.   The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari has revealed his demand to have the state’s Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side renamed Kwara United Football Club, from its former name, when he was installed as the Emir .
