In a condolence message to Etsu and entire people of  Patigi Community, Alhaji Usman Danjuma, said he received the news of the death of an erudite Islamic scholar and Patigi Chief Imam with a rude shock, stating that his demise at this period is blow to the entire muslim community and league of Imams in the state. "The death of our referred and dearest Father, Sheikh AbdulMaliq Ibn Mohammed is an inevitable and monumental loss not only to Patigi Community but the entire state at large, the vacuum created by his death will be difficult to fill" While sympathizing with the immediate family of the deceased, Alhaji Danjuma prayed Allah to grant him eternal rest and give the people of Lafiagi the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
