Cleric Urges Preservation of Legacy of Early Islamic Scholars in Yorubaland An Islamic scholar, Sheikh Hassan Gbododu, has stressed the importance of remembering the early scholars who propagated Islam across Yorubaland, noting that their struggles and sacrifices laid the foundation for the sustenance of the religion today. An Ilorin-based Islamic scholar, Sheikh Musa Kawu Isalekoto, gave the advice during his lecture at the Radio Kwara Tafsir on Wednesday. Sheikh Kawu Isalekoto encouraged Muslims to observe the five daily prayers in congregation, give charity, and show love and kindness to their parents in order to attract the mercy of Allah.
